Red Salmon (Sockeye)

Sockeye Salmon – Known as red salmon for the color of their tasty meat, huge schools of Sockeye salmon enter the river by the hundreds of thousands in mid- June through July. These acrobatic torpedoes range from 5 - 10 pounds and bag limits range from three to six fish per day. Sore muscles, wet anglers and full coolers are common.
